Parkinson passes principal interview for Strata Brass

Strata Brass has announced the signing of new players — including the experienced principal cornet player John Parkinson.

Strata Brass has announced that the experienced John Parkinson will become the Yorkshire band's new principal cornet, after previously playing with Yorkshire Imps, Skelmanthorpe and several other high ranking outfits.

Signings

It was also announced that David Peck joins the front row from Shirebrook where he was principal cornet, with Lee Hugill coming in on 1st horn. Lee recently took a break from banding but brings a wealth of experience having previously played with Carlton Main Frickley Colliery.

The band recently took the top honours at the Whiston Festival of Brass.
