Smithills School Senior Band has been busy recording their latest CD ahead of their forthcoming tour to Ireland later this month (above).

Under the baton of MD Chris Wormald they recorded tracks such as 'Knight Templar', 'Star Wars', 'When We Were Young', 'The Lord Bless You And Keep You', 'Rusalka's Song to the Moon', 'Jubilation' plus many more for a release that will be due out in the Autumn.

Chris told 4BR: "Once again all the players rose superbly to the stiffest of musical and stamina challenges for any standard of band, and it resulted in the most uplifting of recording sessions.
