With the sun shining and many bands already contemplating their summer break, Cory has been hard at work making sure that they've got their Christmas sorted...
Despite the temperatures soaring in south Wales, the world's number 1 ranked band has been in the recording studio with festive music on the menu for a Christmas CD release featuring their musical friends of the Treorchy Male Voice Choir.
Bit surreal
'It's a little bit surreal,"MD Philip Harper wryly said when 4BR went to hear the band in action in Aberdare on the weekend (above), "...but we wanted to make sure we met the demand from fans and supporters for a new festive CD.
We've had a great time with World of Sound and the Treorchy Male Voice Choir — although I wasn't too sure about the turkey sandwiches from Tesco that a few players bought for lunch!"
Well prepared
Adam Goldsmith of World of Sound added: "We know a festive release from Cory is going to be hugely popular, so getting it recorded now is essential. It's been great to work with the band again — they are always so well prepared, even for Christmas!"
Planning
With Cory's busy concert schedule and the prospect of the assault on the British Open already on the horizon, Philip Harper told 4BR that long-term planning is now key to their continued success.
"We've enjoyed a great start to our Welsh Tour and we've already got our early preparation sorted for the British Open. The band loves being busy and is determined to reclaim the British Open to add to the National and Brass in Concert titles already in our grasp."

Sensational Stewart
He added: "That means we have also added a few more tracks to what promises to be a sensational solo CD release from Steve Stewart, and put in place dates in our calendar well into 2017 and beyond.
I have told the players though that there will still be plenty of time to get a sun-tan..."
