West Midlands BBA gain vote of confidence

A successful year of events sees the West Midlands Brass Band Association re-elected on mass.

The recent West Midlands Brass Bands Association AGM saw the experienced committee re-elected en bloc.

Re-elected

Barbara Dunscombe will continue as Chairman with Greta Russell as Secretary.

Sara Stanton was re-elected as treasurer with Alan Robbins, Martyn Pattison, David Birch Nikki Tucker, David Stanley and Gary Powell Jones continuing to serve on the committee. Sarah Wadey of Arrow Valley Brass was welcomed as a new member.

Highly successful

In her review of the year Chairman Barbara Dunscombe reflected on the highly successful solo competition which was held at Studley High School in May and also remarked on the friendly atmosphere and how pleased she was with the spirit and effort shown by all concerned.

This highly successful event will be held again in 2017 and a date will be announced shortly. Other events are also planned in the forthcoming twelve months.
