The line-up of bands taking part in the Whiston Festival of Brass on Saturday 2nd July has been announced.
The contest will take place in the picturesque Yorkshire village near Rotherham, with its village green, thatched memorial barn, and trio of traditional public houses.
The nine bands will march to the village green before giving their 25 minute entertainment programmes on the purpose built stage set.
Attractions
Wiston village will host a multitude of family attractions including children's rides and fun fair, three bars and various food outlets, craft's stalls and stalls representing local charities
The Festival Champion Band will take home the £250 and the Eric Shaw Shield — based on the aggregate score of best musical and most entertaining performances. There are also prizes for the most entertaining band, musical skill and merit, best Second and Third Section entrant and best soloist.
