The home of 2016 Welsh Regional champion Tredegar recently played host to the Band of the Prince of Wales Division under the baton of its Director of Music, Captain Paul Collis-Smith.
Outreach
The visit was part of their ongoing outreach programme that sees it develop links to the communities that the Army serves in south Wales and beyond.
The day of focused rehearsal work on existing as well as brand new repertoire also provided a showcase to a number of potential recruits of the professional careers they can enjoy as a member of one of the Army's three professional brass bands.
Highly successful
Capt Collis Smith (above) told 4BR: "This programme of getting into the communities in Wales has proven to be highly successful — especially with so many having such brilliant brass bands.
My thanks to go Tredegar for the use of their excellent rehearsal facility, and we hope to be able to visit many more bands in the future."

Work together
Tredegar Band Manager Matthew Shaw replied: "We were delighted to welcome Paul and the Band of the Prince of Wales Division.
It is so good to be able to work together and play our part in opening up potentially exciting new career pathways for brass band players."
