Education lead from Symphonic Brass of London

The Symphonic Brass of London has announced the formation of its new Education Department.

Symphonic Brass of London

The Symphonic Brass of London has announced the formation of its new Education Department.

The SBOL is an internationally renowned ensemble that comprises many of Britain's finest brass and percussion players, but is also committed to supporting all music organisations and groups in delivering the aims of the National Plan for Music Education.

Essential

Artistic Director Eric Crees commented to 4BR: "Music making and instrumental skills are an incredibly fragile and easily lost resource.

In order that we can have a legacy of top class brass playing in the UK, which will thrive into the future, it is essential that the bottom of the learning pyramid is strong and well grounded.

The SBOL Education Department has been founded for that purpose and we invite all music hubs, colleges and brass ensembles to support our endeavours."

Projects

In the next few days the Education Department will announce its new Education Partners and the subsequent projects that are planned for later in the year.
