Littleport Brass has announced the appointment of Nicholas Garman as its new Musical Director.

Nicholas takes over from Nigel Bramley, who has retired after leading the band for nine successful years in which they rose from the Fourth to the First Section at the London & Southern Counties Area Championship.

Thanks

Littleport Chairperson Sue Peacock told 4BR: "The band wishes to thank Nigel for all of his hard work and dedication. We progressed superbly under his guidance, and we are all sorry to see him leave.

We are delighted to have found a new MD of the quality of Nicholas, and we are confident that he will continue the great strides the band has taken over the past years."

I look forward to getting started with the band. They have great potential, and I hope we can build on all the good work over the previous years to develop even furtherNicholas Garmen

Build

Nicholas is already MD of Moulton 77 in the Midlands, and will lead them to the Fourth Section National Finals in Cheltenham in September. He has also gained widespread experience as a player with the likes of Stockholm Brass in Sweden as well as Redbridge and Virtuosi.
