The players are also involved with local bands such as Wingates and Carlton Main Frickley, as well as music schools such as the Cheethams School of Music.

With an age range of 11-16 the different groups will entertain with pieces from The Beatles to marches by Erik LeidzenDr Brett Baker

Staggering standard

Ensemble Director Dr Brett Baker told 4BR: "With an age range of 11-16 the different groups will entertain with pieces from The Beatles to marches by Erik Leidzen.

The standard of playing from the young players is staggering so please do not miss a really entertaining programme of music to raise money for the trombone players of the future to take part in a concert that will allow them to experience a trip of a lifetime to Singapore."
