Windcorp prepare for Whit Friday experience

The Windcorp Band from Sweden is certainly looking forward to its trip to the UK for a very special — and busy — Whit Friday weekend.

Windcorp

The Windcorp Band from Sweden will be making a visit to the Whit Friday contests next month.

The renowned band is putting their final plans in place for the trip to the UK in May where they will participate at the famus contests as well as perform in a concert with Fairey Band.

Warm welcome

The band will be guaranteed a very warm welcome courtesy of its Professional Guest Conductor and Fairey's MD, Garry Cutt.

Windcorp will be basing themselves in Garry's home town of Glossop — a stone's throw away from the Whit Friday venues. Once they've enjoyed the exploits of the greatest free show on earth, they will recharge their batteries before heading to Oldham to attend the Major Peter Parkes Celebration concert on Saturday afternoon.

Finally, the Swedish outfit will join up with Fairey for a concert at Glossop Parish Church on the Saturday evening.

We are also really looking forward to spending time with Garry Cutt and thank him in advance for all his hard work and help with our forthcoming visit."
