An innovative new workshop event featuring euph star James McLeod will be taking place in Sale later this month — and you can be a part of it.

A free workshop partnership between composer Dave Collins, Sale Brass, conductor Huw Thomas and euphonium soloist James McLeod, will take place later this month.

The workshop is aimed at players of any age or ability and will concentrate on brand new music that has been donated to the event by publishers Pennine Music, Kirklees Music, Creative Brass, Devilish Publishing and Stephen Crooks Music. The day will conclude with short concert performance.

It all takes place on Saturday 23rd April at Sale Sports Club between 11.00am and 5.00pm with the short public concert taking place at 4.15pm.

Fantastic day

Conductor Huw Thomas told 4BR: "I'm delighted to be working on this project with Dave and James, especially as it is promoting new music by some of our most talented young composers. It will be a fantastic day of music making for all, regardless of age or ability.

We are looking for players to form the workshop band who are interested in trying out some new music and enjoying the experience."

It will be a fantastic day of music making for all, regardless of age or abilityMD, Huw Thomas
