Bristol based Filton Concert Brass has announced that they are to work with one of Europe's leading brass performers and conductors, Andreas Kratz — trombonist of the Gothenburg Opera Orchestra (above).
Acclaimed
The critically acclaimed Swedish conductor will also lead a free workshop session for performers exploring lyricism and style in brass band performance. The event has been supported by Brass Bands England through the Norman Jones Trust.
Rare opportunity
Filton's MD, Tom Davoren told 4BR that the visit provides a rare opportunity for players and conductors alike to work alongside a world class musician in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Time and place
The workshop session will take place at Bristol Easton Salvation Army on Friday 1st April at 8.00pm.
The hall at Bristol Easton not only boasts a beautiful acoustic in which to play, but also has ample stage space for a large massed band and plenty of room to park cars.
