Entries are now being accepted for the 2016 Colne Valley Solo, Duet & Quartet competition, which will be held on Sunday 26th June at the Waterhead Academy, Oldham.
With a new online entry system, the contest hopes to make registration much easier for competitors.
Trophies and prizes
With plenty of trophies to be won, professional recording slots and a top cash prize of £200, the competition is fast becoming a leading event in the banding calendar and last year attracted over 120 entrants.
Euphonium star Steven Walsh and Besson tuba artist Les Neish will adjudicate the performances in the solo classes and duet classes, whilst Sterling Instruments star Rob Richardson will judge the quartet classes.
