b# to keep instruments in tune at Bradford

The fantastic new cleaning kit from b# will be available in Bradford — and just perfect to keep your instrument in trim this Spring...

Kepe it clean

The brand new eco-friendly instrument cleaning products from bsharpbrass made a great impression on customers on its launch in Blackpool last weekend, and the company is now hoping to do the same with the banding folk of Yorkshire at St George's Hall in Bradford this weekend.

Eco-friendly

Ian Hill of bsharpbrass told 4BR: "We had a fantastic response to all our products at our official contest launch in Blackpool, and now we want to show the players and conductors in Yorkshire our ground-breaking range.

We want to be able to show them first hand that their instruments will look good, sound great and stop being gunged-up with stuck valves or sticky slides to ensure many happy years of playing."

Soak and finish

Ian explained that the kit consists of an 'Instrument Soak' that cleans the instrument from the inside out, removing the unpleasant biofilm from pipework, as well as clearing oils and greases leaving your instrument with a pleasant citrus scent and an easy next time clean anti-static coating.

After the soak you have a 'Finishing Avocado Polish' that gives the instrument a fantastic finish.

b# has also teamed up with the renowned Helin company from to include a quality purpose-made brush and cloth pack to make the 'Virtuoso Brass Instrument Cleaning Kit' — the only product of its kind.

100% natural oils and greases

To complete the range b# has also introduced a range of 100% natural oils and greases. These products are non-petroleum, non-synthetic lubricants made from natural oils with added food grade fruit flavourings to enhance your playing experience.

Already the b# brand and range have been enthusiastically endorsed by leading performers — including Mark Wilkinson, principal cornet of Foden's Band, virtuoso trombonist Dr Brett Baker and the Foden's Band itself.

This is a must have accessory for every brass musician. It's the only product of its kind I recommend to clean your instrumentMark Wilkinson

Endorsed

Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "This is a must have accessory for every brass musician. It's the only product of its kind I recommend to clean your instrument."

Meanwhile, Brett Baker added: "The b# Cleaning Kit maintains my trombone as if it's new. I've used washing up liquid for years not knowing the damage it can do long term."

Newly crowned North West Regional champion Foden's Band also added their support: "The band is proud to support b# who have created a dedicated easy to use kit for cleaning instruments."
