Oxford offers last chance outing for Area bands

Some Area finishing touches will be put in place in Oxfordshire this weekend as bands take part in the ODBBA contest.

A host of bands will be taking the valuable opportunity to give themselves a pre-Area contest run-out in Oxford this weekend, as the Oxford and District Brass Band Association holds its annual 'Winter' contest at Marlborough School in Woodstock, Oxfordshire (OX20 1LP).

Contest day

The contest day will kick off at 9.00am with the Unregistered Section, followed by Fourth, Third, Second, First and Championship events. The adjudicator is Brett Baker.

Entry for what should be a great day of entertainment is £4 and £3 concessions.

August 22 • Wantage Concert Brass (1st Section) are looking for a SOLO HORN and PERCUSSIONIST. Under the direction of our dynamic and inspiring MD Daniel Hall. This year we achieved 3rd at the L&SC regionals. We rehearse Tue & Fri 7:30pm- 9:30pm in our own bandhall
