Shotts St Patrick's Brass has announced a new conducting team as they prepare for their appearance at the Scottish Championship in Perth in March.
Chris Mansfield will take on the role of resident conductor with immediate effect with Andrew Duncan taking them on stage for their Second Section performance of 'The Mermaid of Zennor'.
Very happy
Andrew told 4BR: "I'm very happy to be working with my friends at Shotts St Patricks once again and I'm looking forward to taking them at Perth. I'm also delighted that the band has secured the services of Chris Mansfield as resident conductor.
He is a superb player and a very talented musician who I regularly work with at the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra."
Great musician
Chris himself added: "I'm very happy to be working with Shotts in the run up to this year's contest and also getting to work with Andy who is a great musician.
I know that with hard work there is no reason why we can't give a great performance. I'm looking forward to what could be a very exciting future for Shott's."

Delighted
Band secretary Lynsey Mcilwraith told 4BR: "Andy is no stranger to Shotts having worked with him on many occasions in recent years. We are also delighted that Chris has accepted the post as resident conductor.
Having also worked with Chris previously, we invited him along to conduct the band and we were immediately impressed by his ability. We believe we have a great musical partnership with the pair.
Thanks
Lynsey added: "We also thank our bandmaster William Brown who has been working with us in recent months as resident conductor whilst we took time to reflect on 2015 and put plans in place for success in 2016."
