King reign to enter seventh year at Brighouse

The partnership between Brighouse & Rastrick and Prof David King will extend into a seventh year

David King

Brighouse & Rastrick has announced that they are pleased to report that their 'unique and highly successful' musical association with Prof David King will continue for a seventh year.

Europeans

The Australian maestro will lead the band on their appearance at the European Championship in Lille in May, although it was also confirmed that he will not conduct them at the forthcoming Yorkshire Regional Championship following the death of his father earlier this month.

Resident Conductor Leigh Baker will now take the band (who are already pre-qualified for the National Finals) at St George's Hall, with Prof King returning to the UK in late March.

Unique

Band President, Paul Beaumont, stated: "During the past six years, we have developed a unique and highly successful relationship with our Professional Conductor, Prof David King.

2015 was a year of triumph with an unmatched rise in the band's world ranking. We are now looking forward to the contesting year with eager anticipation, and in particular the opportunity to represent England at the European Championship in Lille."
