Fresh from their podium finish at the Brass at the Guild contest in Preston last weekend, Blackpool Brass has announced a number of new signings ahead of the Regional Championship in their home town in a few weeks time.
Signings
Ken Bumby comes in on bass trombone from Old Hall Brass with Margaret Pattie joining on solo cornet from Dumfries. Louise Marsden, formerly of Ashton-under-Lyne Band, adds to the horn section in a short move before she moves with her family to Derbyshire.
Two young band members will also be leaving later in the year to pursue their musical ambitions, with solo euphonium Danny Jones, going to the Royal Welsh College of Music in Cardiff, and trombonist Tom Christie, heading to the RNCM in Manchester.
