Uptown Funk from Pennine Music

The fantastic Uptown Funk is now available from Pennine Music

Pennine Music

The first new music releases of the New Year by Pennine Music feature eagerly awaited titles.

Brilliant brass band version

'Uptown Funk!' (Mark Ronson, Feat. Bruno Mars) is a work that many bands have been looking to perform over the last few months. However, a legal dispute over the writing credits of the original work prevented any arrangements being released until the matter was settled.

Thankfully, that has now been drawn to a resolution and a brilliant brass band version arranged by Dave Collins, is now available for purchase.

JSVB solo release

Also released is the new cornet solo 'Kathleen Mavourneen' arranged by Andi Cook and featured on the final James Shpherd Versatile Brass CD, entitled, 'Legacy'. The release is for full brass band and allows cornet players the chance to shine.

Pennine Music has also released an arrangement by Max Stannard of 'In the Pines', the traditional American folk song also known as 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night?', as well as 'Black Girl'. The work opens with a haunting setting before shifting gears into a great jazz-waltz feature.
