John Packer pick a winner at Butlins

There was one especially delighted euphonium player at the Butlins Mineworkers Championship in Skegness — as Martin Ward left for home with a special prize tucked under his arm.

Martin Ward from Worsbrough Band certainly enjoyed his trip to the Butlins Mineworkers Championship in Skegness on the weekend — leaving with a brand new JP374 Sterling Bb Euphonium tucked under his arm!

Delighted winner

Martin was the delighted winner of the top prize of the fantastic giveaway sponsored by John Packer.

Paul Riggett of Sterling Musical Instruments, who played an integral part in the collaborative design of the JP374 Sterling T, presented the instrument to Martin on Sunday afternoon.

Upgrade

The JP374 Sterling T marks a noticeable upgrade to the popular JP374 model with the inclusion of an ergonomic trigger mechanism to improve ease of tuning and to enable players to make quick adjustments.

The JP374 Sterling has previously won endorsements from some of the UKs finest players including Steve Miles (National Brass Band of New Zealand) and Mike Howley (solo euphonium of Desford Colliery Band).

January 8 • Following our promotion to the 2nd section we are looking for a percussionist to do a bit of bing bonging on the timps for the regionals in March. We are a lovely band - everyone says so - so please get in touch. Rehearsals Weds from 1930 in Putney.
