Scottish Championship judges revealed

The team of judges that will decide the qualification places for London and Cheltenham at Perth have been announced.

Perth
 

The Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA) has confirmed the list of adjudicators for the 2016 Scottish Championships.

Judges

John Miller and Ian Brownbill will judge the Championship Section, while David Thornton and John Doyle will make the decisions in the First Section.

Ian Brownbill and John Doyle will combine for the Second Section, with John Miller and Kevin Wadsworth in the Third.

David Thornton and Kevin Wadsworth will judge performances in the Fourth Section whilst John Boax will give feedback to bands that take part in the non-competitive 4B Section.

Contest weekend

The contest weekend takes place at Perth Concert Hall on the weekend of March 12th & 13th, with the Second Section kicking things off at 9.30am on the Saturday, followed by the Third and First Sections.

On Sunday will start with the Fourth Section at 9.30am, followed by Section 4B and the Championship Section.

Chinnor Silver

June 7 • Our Community Band is meeting on Monday {9th} and would welcome anyone who fancies an extra friendly rehearsal,with coffee and cake involved.. We rehearse in our bandroom at 11am its free and it open to all abilities.. No commitment required.


Epping Forest Band

June 6 • Epping Forest band have a vacancy for solo horn. We are a friendly 3rd section band with a variety of gigs through out the year. We have our own band hut with close to links with London Underground central line and the M11 motorway.


Chelmsford Silver Bnad

June 6 • Front row cornet, solo horn & trombone players. We are a friendly, active non competition band established 75 years performing regularly in Chelmsford & Essex. Rehearsals averaging 26 players on Wednesday evenings at Broomfield Methodist Church Chelmsford
