Geneva by Royal appointment

The trumpet section of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra have chosen to perform on Geneva Symphony trumpets.

Geneva Instruments have announced that the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra trumpet section will now perform on their trumpets.

Working closely

Geneva has been working closely with the RPO's Principal Trumpet, James Fountain, over the last 12 months to develop an instrument sound that encapsulated everything they both perceived as being truly 'British' — and now the world-renowned players claim that Geneva have achieved just that.

Honoured

A Geneva spokesperson told 4BR: "We are particularly honoured to have worked with one of the finest orchestras in the world in creating the trumpet sound they were looking for.

Members of the Geneva team (above) were invited to attend the brass sectional rehearsal in London to listen to the trumpet section in action. After putting the instruments through their paces, the they regarded that overall, the Geneva 'Symphony' Trumpet was the best instrument available for their needs — so much so, the whole section decided to start using them."

Huge pride

Tim Oldroyd, Geneva's founder added: "Having such prestigious world class players use Geneva Trumpets is an indication of the quality, design and excellence we strive for with our products.

I could not be happier with their choice. This is the level our Symphony range is especially aimed at, and it's given us a huge feeling of personal and commercial achievement and pride."
