Geneva Instruments will be wishing their friends and customers a very Happy Christmas this year with a brilliant digital Christmas card designed by 11 year old Freya Wilson.
Playing the tuba
Freya plays first baritone with the RMT Fishburn Academy Band (or FAB) in County Durham and sent in her design for Geneva's competition — calling it 'Santa Claus playing the Tuba'! A representative from Geneva presented Freya with a goody bag at the FAB Band's recent Christmas Concert at Fishburn Primary School.
Great response
They told 4BR: "We had a great response to the competition and the standard of artwork was incredibly inventive. Freya's summed up everything though — fun and full of music!"
Geneva will now send the card by e-mail and shared on social media.

Fishburn Academy
Meanwhile, the RMT Fishburn Academy Band celebrated its first anniversary and already has over 25 players in its ranks — with a healthy mix of new and improving brass players, assisted by a few experienced musicians.
FAB provides instruments and lessons to anyone living in the area who wants to learn to play in a brass band. The main focus is on young players, starting from primary school age, but older students are also taken on, mainly for the larger instruments.
Building in year two
Now the plan for the second year is to secure the funding to allow the band to invest in new instruments and music, allowing growth in both numbers and musicality — and to wish everyone a Happy Christmas thanks to Freya's wonderful award winning card!
