The Bolton (Hoover) Band has been doing its bit to add a smile to the faces of beleaguered fans of the town's football team.
Under the baton of MD Craig Mann they recently joined forces for the annual Bolton Wanderers FC Christmas Carol Service, held at the team's Macron Stadium.
Solo spot
The band accompanied the carols, performed a couple of solo spots, and provided the music for a game of 'Name that Christmas Tune', which was enjoyed by an audience of over 1200 people.
Appreciated
This is the second time they have been invited to take part in the event, and despite the current travails of the football team it was a still a great uplifting experience for all concerned, as the team's Chaplain, Rev. Phil Mason told 4BR: "It was a real delight to have the band with us again.
The music was fantastic and was much appreciated by the fans and supporters who attended on the evening.
The quality is always top notch and they played with real enthusiasm and energy. Thanks to all of them for making such a great evening"
