The City of Oxford Silver Band has announced the appointment of Nigel Hall as their new Musical Director following the news that Nigel Howard was unable to take up the role.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Following our previous announcement we are disappointed that Nigel Howard was unable to take on the MD role.

However, we are delighted that Nigel Hall has now accepted the position and that this is the beginning of a positive and productive new era for the band.
