Schwartz heads to Brighouse via Geneva

Geneva Instruments sign up newly appointed Brighouse & Rastrick solo euphonium, Philippe Schwartz.

Philippe Schwartz

Geneva Instruments has announced that following his high profile move from Grimethorpe Colliery to Brighouse & Rastrick Band, newly appointed principal euphonium Philippe Schwartz has also become the latest world class star to choose to play on a Geneva instrument.

Exciting news

Commenting on the exciting news, Founding Director of Geneva Instruments Tim Oldroyd told 4BR: "I have been an admirer of Philippe's superb euphonium playing since first hearing him perform in the finals of the 2014 European Brass Band Championship Soloist Competition.

Philippe is a highly respected soloist and as the Professor of Euphonium at the Luxembourg Conservatoire he brings to Geneva Instruments a wealth of experience as a Performing Artist."
