Rothwell Temperance has announced the signing of Daniel Morgan as their new principal euphonium.
The rising star has previously held the same position at the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, Marsden Silver, Co-operative Funeralcare Band Northwest and Roberts Bakery Bands, and is currently a student at the University of Sheffield.
Successful year
A delighted Rothwell Temperance spokesperson told 4BR: "After another very successful year in which we won the Grand Shield to return to the British Open, this excellent signing is another pinnacle point in the band's development."
This was echoed by MD Dave Roberts: "Daniel is a very talented young musician and will be a huge asset as we look towards an exciting 2016 with major contests and concerts and a tour to Malta."

Thanks
He added: "We all also wish Christian Dullea every success as he undertakes a new challenge playing second euphonium at Grimethorpe Colliery. Christian has been a tremendous asset during his tenure with us and was a great member of the team."
The band is now preparing for a busy December which sees them perform two major Christmas concerts in Leeds Town Hall and a concert with Bradford Festival Chorus in St. George's Hall, Bradford.
