Chappell tenure ends at Lanner

Seven years of fine music making comes to and end between Stuart Chappell and Lanner & District Band.

Lanner & District Silver Band has announced that their successful seven year association with conductor Stuart Chappell has come to an end.

Great success

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Stuart has seen great success at Lanner, taking us from the First to Championship Section with an appearance at the National Finals on the way. He also led us to our best ever result in the Championship Section at Areas this year."

During Stuart's tenure the band has also relocated to a brand new purpose built bandroom, whilst Stuart has also been the musical advisor to the highly successful Lanner Brass Academy.
