Reg Vardy and Wingates set to give free BiC previews

Reg Vardy and Wingates will be giving their fans a sneak preview of their Brass in Concert programmes ahead of the event on Sunday.

Sage

Two competing bands at this weekend's Brass in Concert Championship will be giving their fans sneak previews of the highly secret programmes they will perform at Sage Gateshead on Sunday.

Reg Vardy

Local favourites Reg Vardy will in fact give two previews — the first following on from a successful workshop with the pupils of North Durham Academy last weekend.

The pupils will join the band at North Durham Academy (High St, Stanley, County Durham DH9 0TW) on Friday 13th November for the free performance starting at 8.00pm in their school auditorium.

The following day the band will also be joined by the Yamaha Neo Brass Ensembles and The Lowry Quintet in a free concert at the Brandon Community Hall (Brandon Lane, Brandon, Durham DH7 8PS)

All three ensembles will be performing short programmes starting at 7.30pm.

Wingates

Meanwhile Wingates will be showcasing their Brass in Concert programme at a free open rehearsal on Friday 13th, starting at 8.00pm at St Bartholomews Church, School Street, Westhoughton, Greater Manchester, BL5 2BG.
