Camborne to add National fantasy to reality

Its art mimicking reality for Camborne as they get to play out their National fantasy on stage...

Albert Hall

Camborne Town will be swapping contest stage reality for on-stage fantasy later this month as they take on the role of the Grimely Colliery Band in the latest production run of 'Brassed Off!'

Five night run

Fresh from their excellent sixth place finish at the National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall (above), the Cornish band will join forces with the members of the Redruth Amateur Operatic Society (Trust) to put a five night run at the Regal Theatre in Redruth.

It's another new venture for the band as they look to build towards the 2016 contesting season under MD, Kevin Mackenzie.

This really is something completely new to the band which I know they will enjoy immensely — and we do now have a bit of recent 'National' success to fall back on with our acting skills!Kevin Mackenzie

Classic

He told 4BR: "We hope this classic production and Cornish premiere will appeal to a wide variety of the public.
