Aldbourne Training Band, under the direction of MD Janet Roe, has recently taken part in a successful concert in the village church of St. Michael's
Songmen and drummers
Together with the a capella group 'The Sarsen Songmen' and 'The Firebird Taiko Japanese Drummers' (above), they entertained a packed audience with a programme that ranged from Barber shop songs and storytelling, to choreographed drumming alongside the band performing film music by John Williams and Henry Mancini.
Audience delight
The band also played Ivanov's 'Procession of the Sardar', before closing the concert with 'Happy' with the Songmen singing and the drummers accompanying, much to the delight of the audience.
Profits will go towards the village's Recreation and Sports Centre project which aims to provide Aldbourne with much needed facilities.
