Details of the BBC Radio 2 Young Brass Award 2016 have been announced on Radio 2's 'Listen to the Band'.

Nationwide

The award is the network's nationwide search for emerging young brass musicians, and provides young performers with the opportunity to both showcase their talents and progress with their musical careers.

Eight successful entries will be invited to record up to 10 minutes of music of their own choice with Brighouse & Rastrick Band at the BBC Studios in Salford. The judges will then select four players to go through to the final, which will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2.
