Gibbs takes over at Pemberton Old Wigan DW

Kevin Gibbs has been appointed as the new MD of Pemberton Old Wigan DW.

Pemberton Old Wigan DW has confirmed the appointment of Kevin Gibbs as their new Musical Director.

Full time

Kevin led the band to a solid midfield finish at the Grand Shield earlier this year, and following a further period working with the North West band over the summer, has now agreed to take on the role on a full time basis.

The former trombone star with Brighouse & Rastrick, Fairey and Black Dyke has also built up an impressive record as a Musical Director, enjoying successful tenures with Newbridge Celynen, Flixton and VBS Poynton.

The band is looking forward to the coming contest season with Kevin at the helm, beginning with the Rochdale contest in OctoberBand spokesperson
