Belgian cornet star Harmen Vanhoorne has launched his new website.
As one of the banding movement's star performers, Harmen is in demand for his services throughout the word — with recent concert and contest appearances in New Zealand and Australia as well as a forthcoming link with the Flowers Band at the National Finals in London.
Busy schedule
The Besson international performance artist told 4BR that the new website has been created to help him plan his increasingly busy schedule as well as increase his musical profile to new audiences.
"The site will provide two main functions,"he said. "I will now be able to give regular updates on my projects, initiatives and performances, as well as helping with my schedule as a professional musician."
New features
Harmen also revealed that the site will include quite a few new features, such as direct CD-purchase, private lessons bookings and tuition videos, making interaction with the Belgium-based soloist much easier.
"That is vitally important,"he added. "In the next few weeks for instance I will be enjoying myself playing with Flowers Band at the Royal Albert Hall, but before that I will also be recording a CD with Belgian trombone-ensemble 'Make it Slide' as a soloist."

New Zealand
Harmen believes the website will ensure he can also manage an increasingly busy international schedule, which recently saw him perform at the New Zealand National Championships and make a quick detour before flying back home via Brisbane in Australia.
"I had a great time with North Shore Band in New Zealand giving masterclasses and lessons as well as playing with the band at the National Championships, and the trip back via Brisbane was a real highlight.
Being part of the Besson artist team means that I can combine teaching and performing wherever I go, so I also hope that the new site will enable me to experience many more brass band countries in the coming years — starting with a return to the southern hemisphere in 2016."
