The Foden's Band will be investing directly in their future following the announcement that it is to launch a ' Junior Band' to be run in partnership with the 'Accent' Music Education Hub and existing Foden's Youth Band partners Besson and the Royal Northern College of Music.
The aim of the Foden's Junior Band will be to provide opportunities for young brass and percussion players from Halton, Warrington, and further afield, to perform under the guidance of conductors and performers connected with Foden's Band.
Delighted
Founder and co-ordinator Ian Raisbeck told 4BR: "I'm delighted that after 3 successful years of the Foden's Youth Band we are now able to expand our project to include a Junior Band.
Working with 'Accent' Music Education Hub gives a great opportunity for us to develop new partnerships within the music education sector. We are excited at the prospect of now welcoming this new Junior Band into the Foden's family."
Monthly
The new ensemble will run once a month from its first meeting on September 27th, with opportunities for members to take part in full rehearsals, sectionals, workshops and master-classes and will be designed to cater for young players of Grade 2-5 standard.
There will also be further opportunities for progression into Foden's Youth Band
