Christmas comes early for Consett residents

Could this be the very first Christmas Concert of the year?

On 24th August, players from Consett Brass joined residents at the local Rosemount Care Home who were enjoying a special early festive turkey dinner treat — even though the sun was shining outside and some visitors were wearing Summer shorts!

It didn't matter though as the players provided wonderful entertainment with plenty of vocal support in the carols they performed to the delighted residents and their families.
