Evans set for Welsh lead

Richard Evans will lead Welsh entertainment double champion Burry Port as they look to conquer English rivals at Wychavon.

The newly crowned Welsh National Eisteddfod champion, Burry Port Town has announced that they will link up with the legendary 'Master Entertainer' Richard Evans for their forthcoming appearance at the Wychavon Festival of Brass contest in October.

Double winners

After winning the Welsh Open Entertainment Championship earlier this year, the band recently made it a 'Double' by claiming the National Eisteddfod, and is now looking forward to testing their metal against opposition from the other side of the River Severn.

Richard will work closely with co-principal conductors Tom Davoren and Michael Thorne to craft and rehearse a dynamic new entertainment programme.

No better way

A Band spokesperson told 4BR: "There is no better way of demonstrating our commitment to carving a name on the contest stage than by securing the services of the undisputed 'King' of the entertainment contest.

We are immensely excited to be working with Richard and look forward to learning all we can under his direction."
