There will be a great exchange visit taking place in Slaithwaite in Yorkshire this weekend, when around 40 youngsters from the Tewkesbury Training Band make the reciprocal trip up the M5 motorway to link up with their young counterparts from Golcar Training Band.
Link
The two organisations have linked up under the direction of MD Pete Strawson and have already enjoyed working together in Gloucester. Now comes the second half of the initiative which Pete, who conducts the Golcar hopes will have long term benefits for everyone involved.
"The weekend is a chance to bring together youth bands from across the country and to get them to enjoy playing together and learning from each other.
It's all ready been a great success so we are all looking forward to making the long trip north."
