Llwydcoed add horn and tuba duo to ranks

Ambitious Welsh band continues to build in strength under MD Chris Turner with addition of two new players.

Llwydcoed

Following their recent promotion success at the Senior Trophy and podium finish at the Welsh League contest in Merthyr Tydfil, Llwydcoed has announced the signing of rising star Evan Key on solo horn.

Horn

Evan recently graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff where he studied under Owen Farr and signs from Pontardulais where he has played solo horn for the past eighteen months.

He replaces Ross Dunne who recently joined Welsh champions, Cory.

MD Chris Turner told 4BR: "I'm delighted to welcome Evan to the band he brings with him a great deal of experience and I look forward to working with Evan".

These two signings strengthen us considerably for the second part of the contest season, and I wish them both a long association with usMD. Chris Turner

Tuba

Also joining the ambitious Championship Section outfit from Tylorstown outfit is Gavin Johnson on Bb bass.

"Gavin is a great Bb bass player able to rock the foundations but also with a great technique,"Chris Turner added. "I don't know where he has been hiding, but I'm glad we've found him!

These two signings strengthen us considerably for the second part of the contest season, and I wish them both a long association with us."
