No resistance persuades Walker to choose Fohqudill

Professional trumpeter Steve Walker opts for the sound of Fohqudill for his trumpet and flugel horn needs...

Steve Walker

Fohqudill Instruments has just provided professional trumpeter Steve Walker with a brand new trumpet and flugel horn, after he recently took the opportunity to try out the instruments for himself.

Top freelancer

Steve is well known as a top freelance performer — showing off his skills all over the world recording with artists such as The Commodores, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas and The Miracles, to the Philharmonic, Nelson Riddle, Syd Lawrence and Joe Loss Orchestras.

He has been recently on tour with Elvis Presley Enterprises Graceland USA, playing on the 'Elvis in Concert' European Arena Tour that included the O2 and Wembley. He can also be heard on the new Rock School syllabus and appeared on the BBC Proms in the Park in front of 45,000 people at London's Hyde Park.

Butlins

Steve is also the highly respected Festival Director of the Butlins Mineworkers Championship held in Skegness each year, as well as a critically acclaimed music arranger, brass band adjudicator and peripatetic brass teacher for the Lincolnshire Music Service.

Confident

He told 4BR: "You've got to feel confident with what you've got in your hands — and that was certainly the case as soon as I played the Fohqudill trumpet and flugel horn.

Some instruments give you resistance and hold you back, but the trumpet and flugel horn are so free blowing and responsive. I feel like a world beater when I play them."
