Black Dyke to feature on University Challenge...

The 2015 triple champion is to appear at the UniBrass Championship in February 2016.

European championship

The organising committee of UniBrass 2016 has announced that tickets for next year's contest and Gala Concert featuring European, National and British Open champion Black Dyke are now on sale.

Annual focus

The unique interUniversity event has quickly become the annual focus for University and Conservatoire band competition in the UK, with the 2016 edition taking place on 20th February at the University of Warwick's acclaimed Arts Centre, alongside an educational programme supported by Besson Instruments.

Entry

The competition is now in its sixth year and is open to all University/Conservatoire level bands in the UK.

Space is available for 18 competitors with registration opening on 1st of November.

The organisers told 4BR that they are delighted that Black Dyke will appear at the 2016 event, following the success of the Gala Concert with Jaguar Land Rover Band earlier this year. The concert will take place at the 2000seater Butterworth Hall of the University of Warwick Arts
Centre.

Delighted

Black Dyke Band Secretary Mike Shenton told 4BR: "Black Dyke Band is delighted to be associated with UniBrass and their 2016 plans, and is looking forward to appearing in the Gala Concert next February."
