Dates

Under the baton of Cory MD, Philip Harper they will perform at Neath's Gwyn Hall on Saturday 25th July and Cardiff's Dora Stoutzker Hall the following day.

This year's selection of music features two strands that link repertoire that will be performed by the National Youth Choir, National Youth Training Choir and National Youth Wind Orchestra of Wales through the works of Ty Cerdd's first ever 'Composer in Residence', Hilary Tann (above) and the music of Latin America.

Tann

Ty Cerdd has commissioned Hilary Tann to write a new piece, 'All the Moon Long' which takes its inspiration from Dylan Thomas's exuberant poem of youth, 'Fern Hill', whilst other work come from the pens of Latin composers Piazzolla, Marquez and Ginastera.

Also performed will be Philip Harper's 'Constellations' and 'The Path to Peace' alongside the brass band classic of 'Pageantry' and Edward Gregson's 'Connotations' in honour of the composer's 70th birthday.
