International trio heads for Fulham

The Fulham Band has attracted a trio of signings via three very different parts of the banding globe.

Fulham

The Fulham Band has welcomed a trio of new players from different parts of the banding globe as they look to strengthen their playing ranks ahead of their National Finals appearance in Cheltenham in September.

International trio

Stephen Wood (Eb tuba), Kim Jensen (front row cornet) and Grant Jarvie (soprano) join the band via Australia, Denmark and Scotland respectively.

Australia

Stephen has played tuba in a variety of locations over his musical career, including Warringah Concert Brass in Sydney for 15 years, before coming to the UK due to his professional career as a geologist. He recently played with the Greenall's Band.

Denmark

Meanwhile, Kim played for many years with the Championship Section Lyngby-Taarbaek Band in Denmark, although during his student days in Manchester he played with the Dobcross Silver before moving to London and joining Fulham.

Scotland

Finally, Grant Jarvie comes from the City of Discovery Band in Dundee. Grant is a well-known performer and soloist in Scotland, and regularly appears as a guest player for various bands at all levels.
