Report & Results: 2015 Ireland Colliery Chesterfield Solo, Duet & Quartet

There was plenty of fine playing to enjoy at every competitive level in the heart of Chesterfield.

Ireland Colliery Chesterfield

The 4th annual Ireland Colliery Chesterfield Band Solo, Duet & Quartet contest was recently held in the heart of Chesterfield at Parkside Community School.

This year the contest moved to a larger venue that offered more access and warm up areas, with adjudicator John Davis, commenting that throughout the day he heard some great playing from the youngest to the oldest and thanked all players and supporters who came and listened.

Thanks

Event organiser Ian Knapton told 4BR: "This year we moved venues and we would like to thank Parkside School and their staff and our sponsor Raw Brewery.

Also we would like to thank all entries and supporters. We were down on numbers from previous years but we only booked the date in February so we were expecting this.

Next year's event has already been booked so we hope to see you all on Saturday 11th June."
