Over 35 trombone players teamed up recently in Mansfield (above) for a community day hosted by Brunts Academy and featuring the Black Dyke Trombone Quartet.
Success
The performers, aged between 10 and 75, had made the trip from as far afield as Coventry, Blackburn and Sunderland to take part in the workshop led by Brett Baker, and were treated to performances by the Senior, Youth and Junior Black Dyke Quartets.
As well as being a huge success, the day raised over £120 for the Breast Cancer Awareness Charity.
Fantastic time
One delegate told 4BR: "I had a fantastic time and I've come home with my head full of information, tips and tricks and renewed enthusiasm for improving my ability on the trombone."
Organiser Martin Heartfield added: "Each year the numbers have increased and we hope to continue to develop this wonderful event"
