There will be a special prize up for grabs at the forthcoming 'The Pride of St Helens' concert featuring Senior Trophy winners Rainford Band.

Raffle prize

For the concert on 13th June, one of the town's most famous musical exports has sponsored an amazing raffle prize — worth over £2,000.

Paul Duffy has offered one lucky ticket holder the chance to undertake a recording session that can be used by any soloist, small ensemble or brass band to make a brand new CD. The session will be produced by Paul himself.

Generous offer

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "After our recent win at the Senior Trophy this concert will be a celebration of not just the progress the band has made in recent years, but also the great work that is going into maintaining St. Helens' reputation for producing top quality brass players — led by the likes of Paul who has so generously offered this wonderful prize."

Have a chance

All you have to do to get the chance to win the prize is to purchasing a ticket for 'The Pride of St Helens' concert on Saturday June 13th. Every ticket holder is eligible to enter a raffle which will be drawn during the concert.

Paul Duffy says, "I hope this can be a kick starter for local musicians or a crucial break for a local brass band where finances are increasingly stretched."
