Tickets for the 163rd British Open that will take place at Symphony Hall on Saturday 5th September are now available from the box office.
Roberts' Tchaikovsky Opus
The test piece for this year's competition 'Reflections on Swan Lake' by Stephen Roberts was announced last month and is the composer's homage to Tchaikovsky's famous ballet.
It will be his third composition to be used at the contest since 2003.
This year's competition that will see Black Dyke defend their title will also include Brass Band Bürgermusik Luzern, the 2014 European champion, from Switzerland within the eighteen contenders.
Book early
Following the success of 'Arabian Nights' in 2013 (that meant a delayed start to the day due to the last minute rush for tickets) and last year's complete sell out, the Symphony Hall box office is once again expecting a high volume of tickets to go quickly and audience members are encouraged to book their seats as soon as they can to avoid disappointment, especially if they would like to sit in a specific seat or preferred part of the hall.
Tickets for Symphony Hall are now on sale and the advice from the box office having sold out last year is book early to ensure you get the seats you want4BR
