A concert in aid of the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Charity raised over £3,000 on the weekend.

Inspired by Boobs & Brass

Verwood Concert Brass's cornet player, Jan Tiller was inspired by the all female band ,'Boobs & Brass' to promote a concert for the charity in 2013 and two years on, repeated the evening to even greater success.

Abbotts delights

The evening was made even more memorable with Boobs & Brass coming to share the stage with Blushing Brass, whilst the icing on the cake for a packed audience was the guest appearance of Carlton Main Frickley Colliery's, principal cornet, Kirsty Abbotts.

I could not be more delighted with how the evening went. It was great having Boobs & Brass and Kirsty join us to make it an extra special concert~Jan Tiller

Thrilled

Jan told 4BR: "I could not be more delighted with how the evening went. It was great having Boobs & Brass and Kirsty join us to make it an extra special concert.

It does take a lot of organising but I have masses of help and support from so many people and the concert is so much fun to do. Ultimately though raising over £3,000 for a very worthwhile cause is the icing on the cake with the cherry on top too".
