Last chance to get on NABBSS

There are just four places left up for grabs to enjoy the North American Brass Band Summer School experience.

NABBSS

There are just a few more days left for four lucky people to sign up for the exciting North American Brass Band Summer School.

Registration to enjoy an amazing musical experience (NABBSS) taking place from June 26th to July 8th in Halifax, Canada with Dr Robert Childs and his staff, closes on Monday, May 11th.

International Tattoo

Just the four places remain in the double brass band that will be featured alongside His Majesty The King's Guard Band of Norway, Heeresmusikkorps Ulm of Germany, Hemvärnets Musikkår Eslöv of Sweden and 100 Canadian Forces Musicians in the massed band of 400 that will lead this year's Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo.

Together with the enlarged band and Tattoo cast, NABBSS delegates will also benefit from an increased tuition staff as with additional mentors from Cory, Tredegar and the Flowers Bands also making the trip across the Atlantic.

Fantastic

Speaking about the course and additional staff, NABBSS Director, Dr Robert Childs told 4BR: “Take up for NABBSS 2015 has been fantastic, with a double brass band recruited this summer.

In line with the increased size, thanks to the continued support of our partners the Buffet Group and Besson Musical Instruments, the NABBSS staff will be increased for this summer with a number of additional mentors in the form of Stephanie Wilkins, Ben Halstead, Will Norman, Hannah Rogers, Matthew Fletcher and Rob Nicholson from Cory, Tredegar and Flowers.”
