The Uppermill Band is looking for help to provide a wonderful start to this year’s Whit Friday experience for the listening public in Saddleworth.

The band would like to offer the chance for any player to join them on the famous Procession of Witness on Whit Friday morning (29th May) — which heralds the start of the day and signifies the start of the famous contesting event to follow.

Those who wish to enjoy the unique experience can then join the band if they want on their contesting travels around the villages of Saddleworth in the evening, boosted by a hot supper.
